Set Your Holiday Table With CAA and Bouclair

Its that time of year again!

Instead of setting the table full of red and green Christmas decorations I went for a more sophisticated and moody look. I am so excited to be partnering with CAA and Bouclair once again to create a beautiful holiday table setting. The accents on my table this year include warm woods, charcoals, moody blues and black plaid. I have added a lot of layering to my table and instead of going with a lighter table cloth as my canvas, I used a darker and thicker grey linen material instead. This really changes the tone of the table and I love the look!

The first items I found to really set the “Christmas” tone of the table were these Reindeer, the Decorative Lying Geo Deer and the Decorative Standing Geo Deer. I love how these decor pieces are more of a contemporary shape and colour, but are still classic pieces that you can use for years to come. I have added this to the centre of the table to give it more of a “Christmas feel” without being your average holiday decor. I love to add different heights and variations to the table and find that the two heights of the reindeer really balance out the different heights of my candle sticks. The black tone is a statement and accents the black placemats and chairs well.

Speaking of placemats, can we PLEASE talk about this gorgeous Set of 4 Black and White Plaid Placemats ? They make such a statement and are so modern and chic! I love how they are a traditional plaid pattern but done in a more contemporary way. They are the perfect base for the rest of the dinnerware set on top. Bonus is they are super affordable, easy to clean and could be used all year round!

As I mentioned before, I am all about layering in different materials on a table setting. One of my favourite items that I found on Bouclair’s website was this beautiful Sea Grass Cage Glass Pitcher. I love the glass mixed with rattan details added to the bottom. This is a jug that you would normally see in the summer months but I wanted to add it to this winterized table setting. I think it pairs perfectly with all of the other warm tones. Another detail that adds some woods to the table are these beautiful Decorative Mango Wood side plates. They are the perfect size and have such a beautiful and warm tone of wood. They compliment the black accents so well and look gorgeous beside all of the Christmas greens laid down the centre of the table. Once again these are pieces that can be used for some many different occasions!

How sweet is this black Set Of 4 Slate Coasters. Perfect for your holiday table, beside table or even coffee table! I love the rough edges on these and find that it gives them more of an organic look. They elevate the table setting when a glass is placed on top of them but can also be stacked to the side as well. The little twine bow they come with is the perfect touch!

On the buffet we have this Wooden Cake Stand. Not only could this cake stand be used for desserts and cake, it could also be a decor piece. I love the way it looks sitting on top of stacked books with other decor and art surrounding it. I would also add a few candles onto it or some sort of a sculpture decor object. I love the contemporary shape and the perfect warm wood tone that ties in with the wooden plates.

Finally for the centre piece we added in the pretty Beige Vase With Angular Handles. I love how this piece looks like pottery. The neutral colour really adds some warmth and pairs beautifully with the magnolia leaves inside. Once again I could see this vase also being placed on book shelves, on a dresser or even a side table !

Happy Holidays

The candles are lit and the table is set. I hope this blog post has inspired you to create your own cozy holiday table setting! Gather with loved ones and enjoy!
