Decorating Your Mantel for Fall and Halloween On a Budget

1.JPG

I wanted to come up with some quick, easy and affordable ideas to create a festive Halloween mantel with pieces you may already have around the house.

The only thing that I purchased for the mantel this year was some fairytale, Cinderella pumpkins and some gourds.

Gold Candle Sticks and Black Candles

I love the look of thin antique gold candle sticks or candelabras. They remind me of something you would see at Mortisha Gomez’s home. You cannot go wrong with black candles to finish off the look!

Old Books

I love to collect books not only to read but to decorate with. I gathered some of my books that had black, white, gold and burnt orange to create a classic Halloween look.

Antiques

I am a lover of antiques. I made sure to incorporate a pair of my favorite vintage Opera Glasses from 1910! I love adding these to my vignettes and they work so well with the theme

Cobwebs

This is a super affordable touch that really takes the mantel to the next level.

You really can’t go wrong with cob webs and you can add as much or as little as you please!

Seeded Eucalyptus

I added in eucalyptus with the seeds. This added some greenery, but the leaves have a silver finish and pair well with the shades in the pumpkins.
